Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is the upcoming adventure of a tormented young warrior whose journey takes her deeper and deeper into her own psychosis. Ninja Theory, the visionary studio behind the game, are dedicated to delivering an AAA experience using mostly indie means. It is an experimental and often challenging process, one that they decided to share in their frequent developer diary videos.
The latest entry (No. 28) offers some insight into the different approaches they tried while giving a face to the voices that haunt Senua throughout her travels. The failings, the dress-ups, the laughs, the team’s resourcefulness – it all makes for a rather intriguing watch.
